How to Program a MERCEDES Truck Key

Keys
There are rumors that you can reprogram the Mercedes key, however this is not true. Once paired, the key will not work with any other car. The metal beam of the key has a distinct shape that the Mercedes system detects and only recognizes. The blank MERCEDES truck keys have a different design and will not work in the system.
The dealership will need to obtain a new, compatible key for your vehicle from Mercedes; they don't keep keys in the parts department. You'll need the original title or registration and a driver's license, identity card, or passport to present when picking the key. This helps confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle and not a person who is trying to steal it.
If you have an authorized representative or delegate who picks up the keys for you they must provide all the above documents along with an official and dated letter of authorization from the owner. The authorized representative or delegate must also bring the vehicle into the dealership in order to get the keys. If you have any other questions, contact the dealer and they will be happy to help. They will tell you whether they have the key or the Mercedes needs to order an alternative key that is compatible with the vehicle.
Remotes
In certain MERCEDES vehicles the remote key comes with a touch screen that shows virtual buttons. When the remote key is pressed it sends infrared signals to control devices. The screen can be programmed by using a graphical interface program on the user's personal computer. The "buttons", which appear on the screen, are actually images of electronic circuit components. These include capacitors, resistors inductors, potentiometers transistors, diodes integrated circuits, and switches.
It can be difficult to open the door of your truck if you have locked your keys in the boot. This is due to the lock door and cylinder of the Mercedes-Benz could be damaged. It is possible to use a rope with an elongated slip-knot to secure the lock and pull it out but this method is not foolproof. You may have try it several times, or even contact a locksmith or roadside assistance service to help you open the truck without damage.
The lower level case features an opening panel that is able to be opened to store the batteries. Keyless Entry System
SmartKeys come with Keyless Go unlock or start your car even if you don't have the key. This is accomplished by through a process known as passive entry and go. SmartKeys have an RFID chip that allows the computer in your vehicle to detect a driver by detecting the key at close range.
To activate your car, the key sends low-frequency transmissions which are picked up by antennas in and around your door handles. If the transmission matches the ID number on the PASE module (Passive Access and Security electronics) the system allows the key to act as a passkey that allows you to operate the vehicle.
These systems are intended for "replay attacks," where a hacker could record and replay control signals to gain access to an automobile or building. To avoid this security risk, a unique algorithm ensures that every transmission sent by the key fob is distinct from the previous ones. The PASE module within the car can detect any attempt by a criminal to record one of these transmissions and then attempt to reuse it.
